Market Opportunities In Poland for Premium Food & Drink and Consumer Products

In May 2021 Lacrosse’s Managing Director Lawrence Fahrenholz took part as a Global Scot panelist in a webinar entitled Market Opportunities in Poland for Premium Food & Drink and Consumer Products.

The webinar was addressed to Scottish businesspeople from the premium food and drinks sector who are looking at entering the Polish market with their brands and products.

Poland is a dynamic and growing market for premium consumer goods with a rapidly-developing and sophisticated market for luxury and international brands across a broad range of consumer goods including food and drink, cosmetics, textiles and interior design.

During the webinar the panelists discussed how a younger customer base is open to new products, active in e-commerce and has an increasingly international outlook. This session also looked at the opportunities and in particular, provided some key insights into how distribution and supply chains operate in Food and Drink, and gave an overview on how to do business in Poland and how it is a hub for doing business in other countries in the CEE region.

Lawrence spoke specifically about the importance of market research, getting marketing, promotional and point-of-sale material and product labels localized correctly into Polish. He also referred to a changing demographic, consumer trends and expectations, and some of the linguistic pitfalls to look out for and how to avoid them in order to succeed in the marketplace.
